Story
Greetings!
We are a group of compassionate nurses and ODPs from Theatres / Recovery at Broomfield Hospital. We have set ourselves the thrilling challenge of conquering the 3 highest mountains in the UK (The 3 Peaks challenge), Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, all within a span of 2 days. We will time the hike as well as the drive and try to achieve the 24 hours frame! We are taking part in this challenge in May.
The hiking team consists of 13 of us!
Zina, Damian, Sam Gnanamani, Neil, Inês, Laura, Miriam, Alicia, Ilenia, Nishad, Nayana, Adama and Annie.
The reason behind this ambitious endeavor is our dear colleague and friend, Ann Goldsmith, who has been recently diagnosed with MND (Motor Neurone Disease). She has been a great inspiration to the whole recovery team and she would always go an extra mile to make people smile.
We are collecting donations for MNDA (Motor Neurone Disease Association) which focus on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. By sponsoring us your money will help people affected by Motor Neurone Disease.
Our goal is not only to raise funds but also spread awareness about MND.
Thank you for supporting us on this!
