I have been lucky to be part of the hospital palliative care team for over 4 years now. Through that time, I have seen countless patients and families positively impacted by Sobell and the support they are able to offer. I have especially been aware of the impact of the “extra’s” Sobell is able to offer: Sobell drivers to help with transport of both patients and equipment, support groups for non-professional carers, the Sobell volunteers providing support to patients and their loved ones and the bereavement service, to name a few. It has been a privilege to be part of the team and I hope that through fundraising for the London Marathon, I will be able to be a small part of helping Sobell to continue supporting patients and their loved ones in the future.

Your donations could fund:

£706 - a full day’s care for patient on the inpatient unit, where they will be cared for with compassion and kindness.

£1,027 - all palliative care services both in the hospice and community for 1 hour, supporting up to 650 patients at any one time.
