Story
In July 2025, I have challenged myself to take on the Peak District Mighty Hike to help raise money for people living with cancer. I myself have had skin cancer removed twice, my family has also been affected by cancer including losing my dad. I have lost good friends to cancer to but Macmillan Nurses have always been wonderful. I am doing this with Martin Oldgoth and it will be pretty tough for us both for me with osteoarthritic knees both of which the pain is getting worse and Martin has bronchiectisis so this will be difficult for him too.
I'd be so grateful if you could help me reach my £250 pledge, which can pay for Macmillan Nurse for one day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.
There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
Thank you!
