Brian is a Trustee for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) and received BHF funding for >25y to support his research on stress hormones in cardiovascular disease. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people still lose their lives and the risk is highest amongst under-served people.
