Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page in memory of a loving husband and father, Brian Edward Lawrence.

He passed away at home, at peace, with his family around him, on the 28th March 2025, he was 87.

For many years of their 58 year marriage, his wife Frances Lawrence was a fundraiser, committee member and keen advocate of the NSPCC. Brian would always say he was "just a husband", but he was more than that, he supported his wife and her charity work, would 'shake tins' wherever he was needed to be in whatever weather and volunteer for the various fundraising events, from directing traffic to being a quiz master.

He always supported the charity and instead of flowers at his funeral, he, his wife, Frances Lawrence, and sons Marcus, Adam and Luke, wish that people honour his memory please, with a donation to this and or other worthwhile causes, Arthritis Action, The Woodland Trust and CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development). Thank you.

The NSPCC is the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. We help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening.

Every child deserves the best possible chance to rebuild their life after abuse

That’s why we’re here. That's what drives all our work. And that’s why – as long as there’s abuse – we will fight for every childhood.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
