Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page in memory of a loving husband and father, Brian Edward Lawrence.
He passed away at home, at peace, with his family around him, on the 28th March 2025, he was 87.
His Catholic faith was a great source of strength to Brian, he attended St. Andrew's Church in Tenterden for over 50 years, singing in the choir all that time. But he did not just attend mass, he undertook many outside activities for the parish and was an active and practical ecumenist in the area, including much fund raising, especially on behalf of CAFOD. The "international suppers" he organised are of legend, then there were the quizzes and other events he would run, as well as supporting parishioners in the community in their own fund raising for CAFOD.
He always supported the charity and instead of flowers at his funeral, he, his wife, Frances Lawrence, and sons Marcus, Adam and Luke, wish that people honour his memory please, with a donation to this and or other worthwhile causes, Arthritis Action, The Woodland Trust and the NSPCC. Thank you.
CAFOD works with local partners and communities across the world - responding to emergencies, promoting long-term development and raising public awareness of the causes of poverty. We work with people of all faiths and none for a safe, sustainable and peaceful world.
