Story
The clocks have gone back, the nights are drawing in and we’ve even already received our first donation of mince pies at Brent Foodbank. Which can only mean one thing…it’s time to launch this year’s Brent Foodbank (The Trussell Trust) Christmas Gift Voucher Campaign!
Since starting our Gift Voucher Campaign in 2020, we have been astounded by your compassion and generosity and are hoping to build on previous years’ success and make 2023’s campaign bigger and better!
Brent Foodbank is currently feeding almost 1000 people a month, over a third of whom are children, and as we approach the winter months, we anticipate these numbers will rise.
At our food bank centres our volunteers meet people from walks of life who are unable to afford basic essentials for themselves and their families. We know this isn’t right, and we are committed to helping people access support through outreach work at our centres and working in partnership with agencies across Brent. But we are only able to continue to do this through the support of our volunteers, our donors and you - our community!
Which is why we're asking you to donate to our Gift Voucher Campaign and give someone who is struggling this extra gift at Christmas time.
We will then distribute the store gift vouchers, along with emergency parcels, at our food bank centres in time for Christmas, for people to spend as they wish - on food, on household essentials or to buy a gift.
So if you would like to brighten someone’s Christmas, please donate!
(Brent Foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust. These funds will only be used to purchase gift vouchers for Brent Foodbank or to purchase food for Brent Foodbank should we receive additional donations once the gift vouchers have been purchased.)
