Story
We are very sorry to inform you all that we have both sustained injuries and will not be able to run the Plymouth Half Marathon (Bren playing football and Mum during training!). HOWEVER, on Saturday September the 9th we will be running the Plymouth Half Marathon route two days after Nan Scantlebury’s birthday, in order for us to still complete the challenge! Thank you for all of your donations I can assure they will not go to waste.
Both myself and Jo Moore (Mum) will be running a Half Marathon raising money for the Primrose Foundation.
It is a charity close to our hearts with Mum being diagnosed and recovering from breast cancer 3 times, and both Mum’s sisters Lynne and Lesley are also breast cancer survivors.
Unfortunately, in March last year we lost our beloved Nan Scantlebury to secondary breast cancer.
As you can see breast cancer has had a significant impact on our family and for this reason we would really appreciate a donation to raise as much money as possible for Primrose Foundation.
The Primrose Foundation is proud to announce our Support Us To Support You campaign. A campaign aimed at raising the awareness of the many benefits of wearing the right fitted bra, as well as the essential support role The Primrose Foundation provides your local breast care services.
Did you know that the Breast service at University Hospitals Plymouth sees around an average of 25,000 people per year, isnt that incredible? And did you know that an average bra in the UK costs between £15 - £29? this equates to up to an average spend of £2,700 on bras in a womans lifetime.
Your bra offers a vital support role, a well-fitted bra supports your posture, confidence, and health.
Like your bra, The Primrose Foundation supports your breast too. We offer support to those that require breast care, including breast cancer care, so would you support us so we can continue to support you?
