Story
In September I will be running the Great North Run to raise money for Sported.
Sported are a UK wide charity promoting fairness and equality for young people through grassroot sport and physical activity. Please help us to ensure every young person has the same chance of fulfilling their potential.
At Sported, our mission is to impact positively the lives of young people and their communities, using sport and physical activity to drive social change. The charity was founded in 2008 by Sir Keith Mills, during his time as vice-chair of London 2012, as his personal contribution to deliver on the promise that the Olympic and Paralympic Games would use the power of sport to inspire the next generation.
Through our network of over 3,000 community sports groups, we transform the lives of disadvantaged young people and build stronger, safer communities. Addressing societal issues such as poverty, discrimination, and youth violence or unlocking opportunities for those with disabilities or facing mental health issues.
