Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support.

Wednesday 13th March 2024 will be an emotional evening at the rearranged Bournemouth V Luton Town game. Our Captain, leader and inspiration Tom Lockyer suffered a cardiac arrest at the game on 16th December, an experience none of us there will ever forget. Due to the actions of all the heroic medical teams on the day, Tom has made a recovery.

I will be cycling the 124 miles from Luton Town to Bournemouth for the game (I welcome anyone who wants to join me along the way) raising awareness and donations for British Heart Foundation who help halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease.

Every 90 minutes, the length of a football game, 5 people suffer an out of hospital cardiac arrest. The BHF website offers advise how to do life saving CPR and can be learned in 15 minutes that can help to save a life. I have included a link below:

£24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so I would really appreciate if you can please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thank you for your support.
