I did it I got a spot for Boston Marathon!!!

With London and Chicago completed in 2024, all starting with a way to make a bad situation into something positive when my mother's Parkinson's worsened and she developed Parkinson's delirium and dementia.

I took a position at Umass Memorial this past October as Assistant PACU Manager. I needed a change and come to find out it was the change I needed. A coworker told me about the application for Boston Marathon Bibs and I took the plunge.

I was 1 of 4 chosen to run for The UMass Memorial Deployable Medical Team. It is one of only two disaster medical teams in the State, specifically designed to provide advanced medical care during a catastrophic event in Massachusetts. The hospital hosted team is fully managed by UMass but is “on call” by order of the Governor to respond to events in our state and to be present to our neighbors in times of crisis.

Every dollar I raise will directly support equipping, training, and preparing our UMass Memorial DMT for the day when we are called upon to be the first, last, and best line of defense against disaster.

This charity is dear to my heart with work I do. I am excited to raise money for this cause and run with these amazing people.
