We connect, change and support minds to improve the mental health of Cumbria

Story

Over the course of December, 9 members of Border City CrossFit have decided to take on the challenge of each covering the height of Mount Everest in box step ups, in support of Carlisle Eden Mind.

That’s 348,420 inches or 17,421 20-inch box step ups each!

The 9 members are: Jaz, Natalie, Adam J, Garry G, Paul, Kate, Kim Mc, Abbie and Louise

The challenge is inspired by the CrossFit Hero Workout ‘Chad’ which was created in memory of an American Navy Seal who died by suicide whilst suffering with PTSD. In this workout we do 1000 box step ups wearing a weighted rucksack.

Whilst doing the challenge we’re raising money for Carlisle Eden Mind, who provide mental health support for those who need it in our local area.
