Hi bookywrms! We're taking part in #TransRightsReadathon from March 21st to March 31st this year, an annual event run by readers to support the trans community in the run up to Trans Day of Visibility on March 31st 🏳️‍⚧️

For those that don't know us, we're Morgan and Sorren, two lifelong friends and book lovers who co-host queer speculative fiction podcast The Hidden Bookcase. We are both proudly transgender, and hoping to support our community in this especially rough time.

We're each aiming to read 11 books featuring trans representation and/or by trans authors throughout the readathon, and will be raising money for Not A Phase. Not A Phase is a trans-led UK charity committed to uplifting and improving the lives of trans+ adults, through awareness campaigning, social projects and funding trans+ lead initiatives. Some projects of theirs we love include Misfits, a fitness, wellbeing and self defence programme for trans people, and Trans+ Voice Academy, a collection of vocal training videos which help trans people find a voice that is authentic and comfortable to them.

If you're able to financially support, please donate. If you want to make it more fun, you can also make a pledge to donate £X for every book we complete during this time. We're pledging to donate £5 for every book we complete in the time period, and will be making our donations as we go. For updates on how our reading is going, you can follow along on our socials!
