Story

I am excited to be hiking the UK's three highest peaks in order to raise money for the charity Walking With The Wounded. Since Joining the Army Cadet Force in 2021, I have become increasingly aware of the sacrifices our Armed Forces make in order to keep us safe.

In order to show my support for such an incredible charity, I have decided to challenge and push myself to my limits! I chose this charity because not only do I think it's important we do our best to acknowledge and respect the importance of those who put their lives at risk, but I am shocked upon hearing how difficult it is for veterans to find jobs after leaving the Armed Forces.

My expedition will take place on the 18-19th June 2024. Climbing Ben Nevis on the 18th, rapidly followed by Scarfell Pike and Snowdon on the 19th.

Walking With The Wounded is a charity centred around providing support and aid to veterans with mental, social or physical injuries. Whether they're suffering on the streets or struggling to find work, the charity offers valuable services and work experience programmes to help get them back on their feet. WWTW takes pride in 'honouring the past and empowering the present'. I look forward to raising money for such an admirable cause, I hope you too can play a part in bettering the lives of veterans by providing a donation of any size.
