Hi All,

My name is Bob and I currently live in Devon, although I grew up in the Lake District.

After a lot of deliberation, due to the enormity of the challenge, I applied and was successful in gaining a place on the Brathay 10in10 2024 team!

I have always been a keen runner and enjoyed pushing myself physically through different challenges. I have previously completed the Windermere Marathon twice, plus numerous half marathons and regularly run/volunteer at my local Parkrun. I have also cycled John O'Groats to Lands End.

To complete 10 marathons in 10 consecutive days will be my hardest test to date. The event begins on Thursday 9th May 2024 through to Saturday 18th May 2024.

Brathay Trust is a Lake District based charity that offers life-changing community programmes to children, young people and families in crisis. Their charitable mission is to design and deliver innovative self-development and support programmes that promote the core social and emotional attitudes, skills and capabilities to enable a lifetime of wellbeing.

Since recently becoming a father myself I realise the importance of supporting a charity like the Brathay Trust.

I'm really looking forward to training over the coming months and preparing for this great event back in the place I grew up.
