Story
Alex Jones, Chris Topping, David Pearson, Elaine Macdonald, and Phoebe Pratt from our Civil Liberties and Human Rights team will be running the Liverpool Half Marathon on 23 March 2025 to raise money for INQUEST.
Four of the five of us are stepping into the world of competitive running for the first time, so this is a huge challenge. We’re all working hard, sticking to our training regimes, despite some minor injuries and gripes along the way. We’re determined to push through, knowing that every step we take is for such an important cause.
INQUEST is the only charity providing expertise on state-related deaths, offering invaluable support to families, lawyers, and organizations. They campaign for change and champion social justice.
INQUEST gives a voice to bereaved families, empowering them through inquests, inquiries, and investigations into the deaths of their loved ones. They provide free, independent advice on how families can seek truth, justice, and accountability during what can be an incredibly difficult time. In addition, INQUEST campaigns for systemic change to prevent future deaths and advocates for transparency, calling for visibility and candour where lessons can be learned.
At Broudie Jackson Canter, we see firsthand how much families value the support INQUEST provides and the critical role they play in the pursuit of justice. We would be deeply grateful if you could support us in this important cause, ensuring that the incredible work of INQUEST can continue.
