We fund a network of expert research nurses to help save blood cancer patients' lives

Story

The new Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce (GBCC) President Nasir Awan has chosen Cure Leukaemia as his nominated charity during his tenure.

Myself and a team of fellow riders are undertaking this journey from Birmingham to Majorca to raise funds for a fantastic charity.

Cure Leukaemia helps blood cancer patients to access pioneering drug and transplant treatments by funding a network of specialist research nurses across the UK. Without these nurses, to ensure patients are monitored and cared for, clinical trials of these new treatments would not run and patients, that have exhausted standard treatment options, would miss out on potentially lifesaving therapies. Every penny raised for Cure Leukaemia helps save lives and also hastens global progress towards the eradication of all forms of blood cancer.

We are delighted to have secured the support of Nasir Awan as GBCC President and we encourage everyone to donate any amount you can afford to help continue the invaluable work of Cure Leukaemia.

Cure Leukaemia fund research nurses at 15 hospitals across the UK. These roles form the Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network giving patients, from a catchment area of 30m, access to potentially life-saving treatments through clinical trials, with plans to fund a paediatric network on the way.
