In Loving Memory of Billy O’Brien

Billy O’Brien was a beloved husband, dad, grandad, a devoted family man, and a generous spirit. He had a heart full of love for his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was always so proud and full of love for them. He often said that little kids should have the best, and that they deserve their shot at a chance in life.

Billy and Betty were a regular fixture at Alder Hey over the years with the many children. Betty said they should have been given a ticket to the staff dance they were there that often!

In his memory, we invite you to make a donation to Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice or Alder Heys Children’s Charity . These charity’s held a special place in Billy’s heart, supporting babies and young children with complex illnesses or disabilities.

Zoe’s Place work tirelessly to ensure these little ones enjoy the best quality of life possible, while also providing vital support to their families. They offer respite, palliative, and end-of-life care, filled with play therapies and fun activities that make every moment count.

Alder Hey Children's Charity supports Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool and helps fund vital equipment, research, and facilities to improve the hospital experience for young patients and their family’s. Their goal is to enhance the quality of life for children in hospital and support families throughout their journey.
