70% of Burundi's population live in poverty, and only 32% of children there complete lower secondary education. There is one doctor for every 10,000 people and the average life expectancy is just 62 years. Great Lakes Outreach started work in Burundi 20 years ago. GLO's International Director, Simon Guillebaud, visited our Junior Church and told us about the charity, leaving us all wanting to raise money for their work.
