Story
I am extremely proud and honoured to work for this incredible charity. Over the past five years, I have seen Abigail's grow, and it has been heart-warming to support families and donors through their fundraising journeys. Now, it's time for me to step up and take on a challenge in 2025 for Abigail's.
To help with my fundraising efforts, I'm hosting a charity fundraising event on Friday 21st March 2025 at The Rochester & Cobham Park Golf Club, Rochester, Kent. The evening will be packed with fun, including exciting games with prizes, a raffle, live auction, and a fantastic Tina Turner tribute act.

Abigail's Footsteps is a baby loss charity dedicated to providing support and counselling for bereaved parents and families, as well as specialist bereavement training for midwives and healthcare professionals.
Since 2010, we have worked to improve the care provided to bereaved parents by hospitals and to better educate midwives on how to support grieving parents. Sadly, stillbirths and neo-natal deaths occur daily, yet many hospitals are not equipped to deal with the parental care required. Many hospitals may not have the necessary facilities, and their staff might not receive sufficient bereavement training.
By working closely with medical professionals to understand the issues and seek solutions, our charity has made a significant impact on many families. One of our greatest contributions has been the creation and funding of the Abi Cooling Cot, which allows parents, precious time to spend with their baby before saying goodbye. These cots are distributed across the UK wherever the need arises and as funding allows.
Our charity is funded entirely by kind donations and our fundraising activities. If you can support us in any way, we would be incredibly grateful. Your generosity helps us continue our vital work, ensuring that no family has to face the heartbreak of baby loss alone. Together, we can make a difference and provide the care and support that bereaved parents and families so desperately need.
£5 - Will buy an SD card for a digital camera so that parents can take away images of their baby when they leave the hospital.
£25 - Can purchase an Abi cooling cot liner, offering comfort and care during a difficult time. Our liners are crucial for the bereavement teams to use, improving the aesthetic of a cooling cot.
£100 - Can fund two Professional Reflective Occupational Practice (PROP) sessions, supporting professionals who provide care in the most challenging circumstances.
£350 - Can provide specialised baby loss counselling sessions for bereaved parents after the tragic loss of their baby. Our award winning counselling service is essential to our main charity aims.
£1,250 - Will provide bespoke in-house bereavement training for up to 40 midwives or healthcare professionals. This training makes a real difference, equipping them with the skills to offer essential support during times of loss.
£3,000 - Will allow the charity to provide a hospital, hospice or funeral directors with an Abi Cooling Cot, which allows parents more precious time with their baby and to say goodbye in their time.
