Some of my friends did not receive this email , so I am re-sending to my request to everyone. If you've already donated, thank you. If you are just receiving this request, please call me if any questions.
My name is Beverly Drury, and I have been a YMCA member at the Coal Creek Y branch since 2012. I am writing you today to consider making a contribution to the Annual Fund Drive which helps the Y in its mission to operate programs that benefit not only the young, but community members of all ages. Membership dues cover the operating costs such as heat and lights. It's the fund drive that makes it possible to provide:
1. swim lessons to any child whose parents cannot afford them
2. weekly back packs for the school year for children with food insecurity
3. camps for children whose family cannot afford it
4. Education programs to support Diabetes prevention, STEM programs, arts, music, and more in after school programs
Many of you receiving this letter from me are not members of the Coal Creek Y or live by other Y's. Thank you for your support for your local Y but I am asking for help to make it possible for my Y to continue making so many vital programs available to kids and family's that can't afford it. My grandkids really loved their experience at the summer camp programs that I happily paid for. Some kids need our help so they can attend a vital program.
Our campaign is striving to raise $180,000 toward meeting the goals in our community and I hope you will join me with a meaningful gift of $250. If you can afford more, that's so appreciated. If you cannot give as much, whatever you give will be deeply appreciated and put to good use in our community.

When you give to the Y you're strengthening your community through:
Youth Development - Our before and after school programs, camps, and outdoor leadership opportunities promote social and emotional growth, encourage physical activity, and allow kids to explore their passions.
Access for All - To provide equal access for everyone, the Y offers income-based financial assistance for its branches and programs, ensuring that financial constraints don't prevent anyone from using our services.
Whole Person Health - We offer support for whole person health through customized wellness plans, disease prevention classes, and counseling and health services for under-resourced communities.
* Charities pay a small fee for our service. Find out how much it is and what we do for it.
