Story

In February 2024 I will be flying to Tanzania to achieve a life long ambition to climb Mount Kilimanjaro with an amazing group of people at Adventure Code UK. This adventure is completely self funded and I have decided to dedicate this trip to the memory of my friend Jan by raising money for Marie Curie and the incredible work that they do.

Jan was quite simply one of the best friends I was ever privileged to know, a funny , thoughtful and bubbly character who lit up the room. She was full of life and an incredible friend, wife and mother who is missed daily. She was diagnosed with Corticobasal Degeneration, a rare incurable condition which resulted in gradual physical deterioration - a tragedy for someone so active and sociable and dreadful for her family and friends to witness.

Jan and her family were supported at home by the amazing Marie Curie nurses who provided such wonderful care and this is my small way of thanking them for that.....as for Jan, well she is quite simply irreplaceable.

Any donation you are able to make will help support other families facing the same heartbreaking circumstances. Thank you.
