Beverley's fundraiser for Action Cancer

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page for Action Cancer.
In March 2024 I noticed a dark mole on my lower right calf, it was raised and became very itchy. When my GP saw it, he referred me to Dermatology. I had a biopsy taken on 2nd May and 4 weeks later on the 30th May I was back for the results. It was stage 1b malignant melanoma (skin cancer) and I would need further surgery to remove a bigger margin. I had the surgery on the 25th June and two weeks later my results came back all clear. Fantastic News !!!
The support I had from Action Cancer has been amazing, helping me to deal with the emotional and mental side of the diagnosis.
So this year in May, I’m doing the Action Cancer “50 miles in May” challenge to raise money as a thank you for this fantastic charity.
By supporting this fundraiser with any donation—no matter how small—you will be helping Action Cancer continue its vital work in our community. Thank you for taking the time to read my story; your generosity can make a real difference.
