This year, Bettys York have chosen to support York Women's Counselling Service as their branch charity.

York Women's Counselling Service provides 1:1 counselling to women who are experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties as a result of current or past emotional stress or trauma regardless of their ability to pay.

Funds raised will go to support those who cannot afford counselling. There has been a big increase in the need to provide financial support for counselling due to the financial crisis and the increase of referrals – recently there were 25 referrals in just 4 days.
