Hi! I'm Bethany :)

I'm a bit of a late comer to this project and have a lot of catching up to do, but am super excited to get stuck in.

I visited Kenya 10 years ago working on a similar (but different) project and have longed ever since to volunteer once again! I believe play at any age is such an important and vital criteria to fulfill in order to enrich lives. I feel privileged to be a part of this team and hope with your support i will help to enhance the lives of others.

Our awesome and dedicated team of volunteers will be heading to Uganda in summer 2024! We will be transforming an empty field at a local school into a vibrant playground so that children can access a childhood!

Your generous support will enable Play Action International to create a legacy of play within the local community where so that we can create an environment where children's development and well-being are supported and children are able to learn essential skills that will allow them to reach their potential. As a result of playgrounds being built, schools report that:

- 98% report an increase in attendance in school.

- 74% of children gave 'The Playground' as a reason to attend school.

- 83% of teachers reported improvements in children's attention and behaviour in classes.
