Story
As most of you reading this will know, in July 2020, our beautiful first born son, Clay, died shortly after he was born due to suffering multiple skull fractures in labour caused by the hospitals wrongdoings. In the aftermath of his death as a family we were (and still continue to be) distraught and when everywhere you look all you see is happy families and new born babies, it felt so lonely and isolating. Sands was one of the first charities we were told about and the work they do surrounding stillbirths and neonatal death's is crucial for so many families. I will be hiking for Clay, alongside 2 amazing mama's I have met after Clay who's babies also sadly died.
Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, operates across the UK: supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
Sands depend on the amazing energies of their supporters to raise the vital funds that they need to deliver the wide range of services that they offer. Please donate what you can to help this amazing continue their vital work.
Lots of love, Clay's mummy
