Story
Back in 2014, my brother was involved in a serious road accident whilst cycling. After being airlifted to hospital and undergoing surgery, he spent 2 and half months recovering in hospital.
If it had not been for the air ambulance service, my big brother wouldn’t be here with us today.
I am going to be running this years Great South Run to raise money for our local air ambulance charity.
The Air Ambulance and charity Critical Care Team Vehicles are operational 7 days a week and attend an average of 6 missions per day, many of them life-saving. They operate from 7am until 2am, 365 days a year.
Highly skilled crews of Doctors, Paramedics and Pilots can be at the scene of an incident within minutes.
It currently costs in excess of £15,000 a day to maintain this life saving service.
Please donate to this fantastic cause!
