Recovery from addiction, mental health issues, and suicide prevention for veterans are all very important issues that people near and dear to me have experienced. I will run with them in my heart & I’m excited to help raise funds so more people can get the resources they need

The driving force behind the Mind over Miles event is one of our Board members, Bret Buike, who lost a sister-in-law to a drug overdose and a nephew to veteran suicide. At The Nord Center, we believe in removing barriers to care. One crucial ongoing barrier is stigma which may prevent someone from seeking care even if they know they may need it.

The Mind over Miles event seeks not only to raise funds but to be a premiere stigma-buster in our community. Thank you for playing a part!
