Nottingham Refugee Forum is proud to be a Local Charity Partner of the Robin Hood Half Marathon We support asylum seekers and refugees in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire in gaining just outcomes, rebuilding their lives and integrating into society.

Story

This year, I am once again raising money for Nottingham Refugee Forum by running the Robin Hood Half Marathon.

It’s been another challenging year working with asylum seekers and refugees, with major difficulties such as a homelessness crisis for new refugees, the cruel and inhumane Rwanda Scheme and inflammatory misinformation endangering asylum seekers and spreading fear.

In times like these, services like Nottingham Refugee Forum are more vital than ever, to remain a warm and welcoming space for asylum seekers and refugees, to promote compassion and to build community.

I continue to be inspired every day by the resilience of refugee communities and am hoping to raise some more funds so we can continue to help people build the new lives they are so deserving of.

Every donation, no matter how small, goes a very long way and our service users benefit from it directly.
