This year, I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for the North London Hospice.

The North London Hospice provides care for patients with life limiting illnesses, supporting them to achieve the best quality of life possible. They treat patients at their inpatient unit in Finchley as well as working within the wider community to improve people’s quality of life. They offer Health & Wellbeing services from patients visiting their centres to enjoy activities and therapies to providing support in their patients homes. Their support can make all the difference to patients and their families at this difficult time.

As a registered charity, North London Hospice provides free Specialist Palliative Care Services. They receive some government funding but rely on donations and legacies to meet the cost of providing their exceptional care and support. It costs more than £15m every year to fund their services.

The hospice has personally supported my family in providing care for my Nana and other close family and friends and I want to do my bit to give back to allow the hospice to continue with the great work that they do. I've run a few half marathons in the past and will therefore be challenging myself to finish the race within 1 hr 50 mins.
