Story

Hello everyone,

For those that don’t know, my dad was diagnosed with dementia at age 62 in August 2023, & and was unfortunately, due to his complex needs, placed into a care home in October 2023. He is deteriorating and fading before our eyes. I was 24 when he was diagnosed & I never thought I would have to deal with such heartbreaking news at my age. I know he is still “here”, but mentally he is not. Me and my mum have been so blessed with love from our closest friends and family, including our unreal niece / granddaughter. We are truly so grateful for everyone. Dementia is the cruelest disease and you lose them twice. First mentally, then physically.

Due to this, I have wanted to raise as much money as possible for the amazing charities and workers that have helped us & my dad during his journey.

Unbelievably, my work place's charity this year is the dementia appeal, to help raise money for dementia care for relatives, carers and patients. I felt it was my calling to help, therefore on 26/4/25, I am doing a skydive to raise money for this amazing appeal.

Please donate if possible, it would be really appreciated! ❤️
