Daisy and I are nervous/excited to do this challenge together. I have a fear of heights, but I have conquered this at times in the past, by doing high ropes and before I became a mum I did a bungee jump in New Zealand! I am a person that enjoys challenges and new experience and this is why I have taken the opportunity to do this when it was offered to us at Unloc where I work. Daisy is on the Youth Board for Unloc, so we both said "yes!" Needless to say I am so pleased she will be by my side as we abseil down the 100 meters of the Spinnaker Tower!

Brighterway is one of Unloc partners they are truly a fantastic charity they are an NHS Trust charity dedicated to enhancing patient care across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Their mission is to provide support for the NHS that goes beyond its core budget, funding projects that improve wellbeing, recovery, and independence for patients and staff.

Brighterway have brought joy to staff and patients Christmas 2024 by providing Christmas Gift Bags to 780 Inpatients across 65 hospital wards and units.

At the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, the Specialist Community Forensic Team (SCFT) is making strides in helping individuals with complex mental health difficulties transition back into the community after long stays in secure care. Thanks to funding from Brighterway, the Trust’s charity, a transformative initiative —the Social Inclusion Group— was brought to life. This project, spearheaded by Occupational Therapist Maddie Drewett and Occupational Therapy Assistant Nick Matthews, is making a profound difference in helping service users rebuild their lives and connections in their local communities.

This is just 2 of their success stories - with your donations they can keep growing providing this incredible support!
