Story
After taking on the three peaks in 2018, Bernhard and Company launched their virtual challenge in 2020: Bernhard5500 which raised £1,059 for Parkinson’s UK.
Building from this success and recognising that as a global company, a virtual challenge will bring all our employees across the world together, the team is getting ready to travel miles.
We wanted to find a challenge that would include everyone and people of all ability. This challenge implies covering the longest distance possible over 3 months by either running, walking, or cycling…
Bernhard Race across the world challenge 2024
From 1st March to 31 May 2024
We are launching this new challenge to raise funds for Crohn’s and Colitis UK: Bernhard Race across the world 2024.
The last challenge got very competitive and with a distance as an end point, we finished the challenge a month earlier. (hence reducing the time we could raise funds for!). This time, the team can be as competitive as they want. The challenge includes different disciplines and abilities (walking, running, cycling), everyone can decide what their own challenge can be.
Most outings in the week, longest distance, consistency, or even just getting out, this should appeal to anyone, and we will be really excited to share updates regularly.

This time we’ll aim to virtually visit as many of our distributors across the world.
About Crohn's and Colitis:
We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis.
Right now, an estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. And the real number could be almost double that.
Because of the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding these diseases, thousands of people are suffering in silence.
But they’re not alone.
We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment, and to fund research into a cure; to raise awareness and to give people hope, comfort and confidence to live freer, fuller lives.
