Story

My brother, AJ, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 14, in 2005. I have experienced first hand the life changing implications being a type 1 diabetic can bring, my brothers life was changed completely.

Medical advances has improved his quality of life over the past 20 years however I still believe there is so much more to come. There is still so much misinformation and bad advice given to people and this has to change.

Type one diabetes can happen to ANYONE at short notice and will last your entire life. JDRF is the leading global type 1 diabetes charity who works every day to help people live better with the condition, prevent people ever developing it and one day, find cures.

I'm taking on the Great North Run for JDRF! My fundraising will provide vital funds for type 1 diabetes research, which will help to improve the lives of those living with type 1 diabetes - and one day eradicate the condition for good.
