We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

Benjamin absolutely adores his "Ouma" who suffers from early onset Alzheimers. After deciding one evening that he wanted to donate all his pocket money to help find a cure for Alzheimers we decided to do something together to help him raise funds.

Benjamin's grandmother turns 70 in June and to celebrate her life, Benjamin and his mum will be walking a 22 mile route the first weekend in June to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

ARK UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity working to accelerate progress towards a cure.

We are experiencing the devastating effect of this disease in our family and we are not alone – in the UK the number of people estimated to live with dementia is close to 1million and this figure is rising every year.

Our hope is that every bit that we do can help create a world that is free from the absolute fear and heartbreak of seeing a loved one disappear every day.

If you would like to cheer Benjamin on on his walk please leave a message on our page and if you are able to, please donate to help fund the incredibly vital research done by ARK UK to find a cure for dementia.
