My name is Scott and I am a care experienced young person. From the ages of 4-18 I experienced every corner of the care system.

Everything including really positive memories to unfortunate situations.

With countless young people still feeling “stuck” in the system, I need to make a change.

So in September I will be attempting to summit Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe.

Why?

To inspire hope in these young people.

To show them that anything is possible.

To give them the spark that I found so hard to find for well over a decade.

This is my chance to show these young people that,

No matter how hard the climb,

If you trust yourself and put one foot in from other the other,

You will be able to see the beauty that lies ahead of you.

I spent so many years in darkness,

Consumed by anger.

I have completely changed my life and am now changing lives.

Now it’s my time to help change these young people’s lives.
