We protect our paths, tracks and trails to ensure we can all enjoy walking outdoors

Story

We are requesting a contribution towards construction of a granite bench in memory of our sadly departed fellow Rambler Bob Fraiser (1953-2024). We intend to use granite from the quarry near where Bob lived and to install the bench on a path that he helped clear. The estimated cost of the bench plus installation by volunteers is £800.

Bob was a true gentleman. He was kind, quietly spoken, patient, supportive, inspirational and knowledgeable Rights of Way Officer. Living in Penryn Bob’s activities had a massive impact on keeping our rights of way open both locally and throughout Cornwall. Everyone who loves walking in Cornwall and every member of Ramblers, Cornwall South & West have benefitted from his work. We appreciate any contribution you can make towards building a memorial for this fine gentleman.

Thanks to our generous supporters, we’ve opened the way for millions of walkers, from protecting footpaths at risk of being lost forever, to running thousands of group walks across the country.
