Story
I’m cycling from London to MIPIM, Cannes in March 2024, as part of the Knight Frank team, and will complete the c.1,500km relay over 7 days by road bike from London to Cannes. This will involve a minimum of two 60km stages each day (yikes!) to raise money for Club Peloton (clubpeloton.org) a charity that uses the real estate cycling community's generosity to transform the lives of young people.
Since 2006, it has given £4.5 million in grants to projects that make a real difference, supporting projects such as the recruitment of families for 1150 children waiting longer than 18 months to find adoptive homes, awarding bikes, tandems and adaptive trikes to young people affected by cancer, tackling the root causes of violent street crime and much more.
I am a mountain biker, so new to the tarmac discipline, and certainly have never tackled anything of this magnitude on two wheels before! So I'm braving the weather to get some miles under my belt over winter - think of me out there in all weathers while you are tucked up in front of the telly!
My African friends may wonder why I am raising money for children in the UK, but the sad fact is there are kids all over the world who need our help. I would be extremely grateful for anything you can give, however small. Many thanks, Ben.
