Story
Play Action International is an incredible charity dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children who face adversity. This summer, I will be joining a team of volunteers in Africa to partake in Project Play: Uganda 2024.
Together, we will be transforming an empty field at a local school into a vibrant playground, providing a safe space where children can develop, interact and access the joys of childhood. In addition to this, I am fundraising to provide materials and equipment to help develop the project.
The target I am aiming for is £1350, with all donations going towards the materials needed for the school and to other schools across the country. To fundraise such an amount, I will be attempting a number of challenges, the first of which will be to climb Mount Snowdon.
Any support you can give would be hugely appreciated and is crucial in helping Play Action International create a lasting legacy of play within the local community. By donating, you can help to create an environment where children's development and well-being are supported.
As a result of playgrounds being built by Play Action International, schools have reported incredible outcomes:
- 98% of schools have seen an increase in attendance.
- 74% of children have cited 'The Playground' as a reason for attending school.
- 83% of teachers have noticed improvements in children's attention and behavior in classes.
Any contribution made will make a significant impact on the lives of these deserving children and the wider community.
Thank you for your support!
