Story
I'm attempting to swim from Dover to France to raise money for Brain Tumour Research.
Between the 5th and the 11th July I'm due to swim the 21 miles from shore to shore. I'll be following the standard rules. No wetsuit. Just grease!
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
I lost my Dad, Ray, to this terrible disease. I'm inviting you to join me in my effort to reduce the number of people and families exposed to the tragedies caused by brain tumours. My dad was 48 when he died in 2001. No child, parent or family should have to lose a loved one in this way. Ray was a huge character and a wonderful soul. Ray was also very charitable. Let's take a leaf out of his book and put a little something towards a cause dedicated to keeping wonderful souls exactly where they should be.
Brain Tumour Research are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
