Story
Hello everyone,
My name is Ben and I'm raising money for Vranch House School , a wonderful specialist school for children with disabilities, including my son Rudi who was diagnosed with a rare neurological conditional called Opsoclonus Myoclonus. This is a condition that affects his eyes and muscles, making it harder for him to control his movements, especially his walking. This has an impact on his daily life and the challenges he faces as a result of this condition.
When we moved to Exeter, finding the right school for Rudi was a challenge, but then we found Vranch House School and it was perfect for him. The staff and facilities are incredible, and they always support the children to help them thrive.
Rudi has come so far since he's been at Vranch House, and I want to help give back to this amazing school. They are currently raising money to go towards a sensory garden, and I want to do my part by competing in the Sea to Summit challenge. This will involve three ultra marathons across three different dates for the three peaks. My biggest challenge to date.
We organised a Spring Fete on the 18th May to raise money for Vranch House. This was a great day and raised a total of £2000!!!!
I would greatly appreciate your support in helping me raise funds for Vranch House School, so they can continue to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for the children.
Vranch House provides specialist learning, care & therapy to children & young people with physical difficulties. Each young person also contends with additional complex needs such as Visual impairments, hearing impairments, multi-sensory impairments, autism, complex medical conditions & sadly, life limiting illnesses too. Our aim is to deliver personalised learning opportunities and therapies, providing pupils with a quiet, nurturing and supportive environment that enables them to thrive.
Vranch House is all about 'Making a difference'!
About the events
The Sea to Summit trilogy takes you to the summit of the high points of England, Scotland and Wales along 3 spectacular and varied ultra-distance routes. Popular since time eternal, “the 3 peaks“ probably need no introduction. But the way these routes have been laid down is a totally fresh take on this threesome of classic British mountains.
