The outdoors has helped me massively when it’s come to how I feel. I truly believe getting out into nature and experiencing what this country has to offer is one of the best things you can do to regulate your moods and feel good!
No matter the Mountain, whether it’s a physical one or a metaphorical one, no one should have to climb them alone. In February, I’m going to be running 406km for those who never got the chance to.
Mind Over Mountains are an ambitious and innovative mental health charity that enables people to thrive through therapeutic outdoor experiences. Their vision is for the UK to be a nation in which everyone recognises the power of therapeutic outdoor experiences in restoring and maintaining good mental health and well-being. This is a mission that I can definitely get behind as I’ve experience the positive benefits first hand.
This is a pretty big challenge for me, but nothing compared to what those go through who battle with mental health issues. Follow along as I climb my biggest mountain to date. Maybe this will inspire you to climb a personal mountain?
