Story

This Autumn, Lotti, Stef and I will be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon and raising funds for GOSH.

We have been so lucky to be under the care of GOSH since our daughter Bea was 10 weeks old and was diagnosed with a congenital cataract, which unfortunately is a lot more problematic than an adult cataract as the eyes are developing so rapidly.

We were told that the race was on to have the lens removed from her eye as quickly as possible in order for her to stand any chance of vision in her left eye.

We’ve been told that we won’t really know what Bea’s sight will be like until she’s old enough to tell us but we feel incredibly grateful to Great Ormond street that we get to give it our best shot.

The care there is really nothing like we’ve ever experienced before and we want to do what we can so that other children get the same opportunity and support that Bea has been given.

Thank you in advance for supporting my huge challenge and donating whatever you can, it will make a massive difference.
