Story
Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life.
Without all three, people can’t live dignified and healthy lives. With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good.
With clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, children are born healthier. They get the chance to go to school and grow up to become adults. Women and men get to earn a living. Whole communities start to thrive.
Part of my work is on Fisher German's Severn Trent Water contract; the latter's chosen charity is Water Aid. So, I've entered Severn Trent's cycling fundraising event on Saturday 18th May 2024 for Water Aid which I expect I will find suitably challenging. It's in the Peak District with a 70 mile course (my longest ever ride has been 46 miles), but the challenge is going to be the total ascent of over 2,200 metres (my maximum so far has been 1,000 metres...).
If you'd like to give a few pounds it would help to do good work which would be gratefully received, and it would help to spur me on when things are getting dark and it's time to screw the nut!
Thank you
Ben
