Story
One in six children and young people now have a diagnosable mental health issue. That’s five children in every classroom with a condition like depression or anxiety.
Place2Be is the UK's leading school-based mental health charity, providing support to children, families and school-based staff when they need it most. Place2Be counsellors are based in schools across the country and help children and young people to cope with wide-ranging and often complex issues including bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma. Deloitte London chose Place2Be as their charity partner from 2022 - 2025. Our office charity partnership forms part of Deloitte's global WorldClass ambition to create better futures for 100 million people by 2030. Funds raised will go towards empowering young individuals with the coping skills and emotional resilience they need to succeed in life.
In support of the incredible work Place2Be do, a number of the Banking and Capital Markets Audit & Assurance Partners at Deloitte are taking on the Lake District 5 Peaks Challenge on Saturday 30 September. This challenge runs over just one day, but with five peaks to summit it’s certainly no walk in the park! It is an exhausting but energising journey through the rugged and dramatic landscape of the Lake District, as we venture across 12.5 miles (20km) and tackle five of England’s most demanding peaks, including its highest – Scafell Pike. We will climb to over 3,000 feet (900m), crossing crags and moorland past the Langdale Pikes towards Scafell Pike to raise well deserved money for our charity, Place2Be.
Please help us support Place2Be’s vital work, and together we can make a real difference to children's mental health and ensure that children don’t have to face mental health problems alone.
