I am crazily attempting to run the London Marathon in April 2024 next year for a cause I am deeply passionate about, Tourette's Action.

As someone who has lived with Tourette's for almost 10 years now, I know how hard it is to grow up with it and how little coverage there was of it only a few years ago. Luckily it has come to the media and public's attention a lot more recently, however, it is still not enough and there are still so many people across the UK who face so much mockery despite not even being able to control their tics. I therefore, wanted to be able to try and make a difference and to raise awareness for the condition.

As well as this, I feel that it is important to really show a true light on Tourette’s and that it is not all about swearing as the media often makes it out to be and hopefully I will be able to shed some light on how it is something so many people have and is not always obvious.

Those that are close to me will know that I'm not exactly the most sporty or athletic person so it is definitely quite a challenge for me to be attempting something like this marathon but one thing I have learnt is that I am stubbornly motivated when it comes to training so hopefully that helps me in the actual race!

Anyway, it would mean the world to me if you could donate to this great cause, and I’ll be posting regular updates on this page to show how I’m getting on with my training whilst being in my first year of University.
