Story
Hi guys, I’m Ben Holroyd, the founder of BH training solutions. Firstly thank you so much for taking the time to visit this page! So why Huntingtons? Well my family are extremely familiar with HD as it runs in our family. We have first hand experience how the disease can not only affect the individual but the entire family circle around them.
To help raise more awareness of HD and some much needed funds I have completed OVER 400 running miles before I’m 40 (Jan 2024 - Nov 2024) and I also completed a 30 miler on September 28th carrying 40Lbs of weight (huge sack of spuds). This arduous challenge took around 6 hours :17 minutes and honestly was not fun!
Why 30 miles?
This is to replicate the final commando test I passed to earn my Green beret in 2004 and pass out as a Royal Marine Commando. I will attempt this additional challenge on Saturday 28th, and will follow a road / canal path route in and around the Tamworth area!
You can track my progress on Strava (follow me , Ben Holroyd) and I will provide monthly updates via BH training solutions social accounts, follow us on Facebook & Instagram.
I have also completed the 10mile race Cathedral to Castle, Lichfield to Tamworth on April 7th 2024 and came 47th overall from over 1000 runners. I also climbed Mt Snowdon on April 27th. My baseline goal was to raise £400…. All the 4’s… see what I did there 🥹 my 40th is…(November 3rd 2024) … I know I only look 29 👀 but now I have re-set my goal to £1000 which I have now hit. so now I want to double it to £2k!!!!
HDA is our primary charity and are very proud to support their work in any big or small way we can, and I want to personally thank you for taking the time to at least open this link. Now donate 🫡🤣
