Story
"Walking to retirement....."
Both my amazing parents Anne & Lazzaro Rossi passed away from cancer at an early age – my mother Anne was lovingly cared for by a Marie Curie nurse towards the end of her wonderful life – the support we received as a family from Marie Curie gave her the best possible care to the end.
I have had the privilege of working for Marie Curie for the past 18 years as a fundraising manager - with my team of fundraisers we have raised vital funds to ensure families receive the care and support our family received during a difficult and emotional time.
I will be walking to my retirement this year with my family to celebrate their lives and to reach my retirement goal bucket list of walking the Welsh coastal path – what better way than to take part in Marie Curie “Beat the trails” on a 12 mile walk from Worms head Rhosilli Bay around the stunning Gower coastline.
One night of nursing care costs £207 – mum received three nights of care from that amazing Marie Curie nurse - help me provide vital care for people living with terminal illness and support for their families at the toughest of times.
Thank you for your support
