Story
I'm very proud to be running the 2025 TCS London Marathon for Alzheimer's Research UK!
I sadly lost my incredible gorgeous mum Joan on 9th November 2023.She lived with Dementia and is devastating consequences for over 10 years and lost out on what could have been some of the best years of her life.
I've raised money in the past for charities more focussed on care and support for those living with Dementia. With the demand for support and social care outstripping supply of care teams if feel the only way forward is to find a cure for this awful disease.
I have a high risk of developing Dementia myself due to a strong family history of the disease. So I have this in mind while I try and fund raise.
Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity.
They are striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.
With your support, this charity will keep going until every person is free from the heartbreak of dementia.
Every single one of us will be affected one way or another by Dementia.
Thank you for supporting me as I run 26.2 miles in my 60th year for a cure! This will be a massive challenge for me despite participating in many endurance events over the years. I'm looking forward to some serious training and hopefully getting fit.
