Story
I'm a former StreetDoctors volunteer and employee. I'm now qualified as a doctor with a specific mental health focus. I have seen first hand the negative impact, both physical and psychological, that serious and fatal injuries have on individuals and their loved ones.
It's as important as ever to help equip young people with emergency first aid training to help them become lifesavers in their local community. You never know when these skills will come in handy.
StreetDoctors is a national charity training young people how to save the life of someone who has been stabbed or knocked out. Every year healthcare volunteers train thousands of young people to become street doctors, capable of stepping forward in an emergency and protecting each other with medical skills.
The training is carried out by young healthcare volunteers, meaning every pound raised goes directly to supporting young people affected by violence in their local community.
I'll be cycling, walking and maybe running (?!) to clock up 100 miles this June. Any penny or pound you can donate to sponsor me is greatly appreciated. Thank you SO much.
